Have you even heard of Golden Eagle Regional Park? The City of Sparks has the most amazing Sports Complex located off Vista Blvd. in Spanish Springs. Since its opening in 2008, this Sports Complex has become an exciting destination for tourists and locals alike, and has played host to numerous regional and national events for organizations such as the Amateur Softball Association, Senior Softball USA and Triple Crown Sports. The facility has featured men’s and women’s semi-pro football, high school Lacrosse and even the filming of a movie!
The 100 acre sports complex is the largest public works project in the history of the City of Sparks. The state-of-the-art facility features 1.4 million square feet of artificial turf -- the largest single installation artificial turf project in North America. It offers adult, senior, men's, women's, coed and family softball during spring, summer, fall and even winter freeze ball as well as kickball. It also features a full restaurant and bar, Red's Golden Eagle Grill, at the adult softball fields 10-15.
